Junior Cultivation Specialist

Westland of Vierpolders
Fulltime

This is you

  • You dream of becoming a cultivation specialist.
  • You think and work like a university of applied sciences graduate.
  • You are entrepreneurial, curious, and precise.
  • You see challenges, not problems.
  • Knowledge and technology make your heart beat faster.
  • You care about a strong team, with collegiality at the center.
  • You are ambitious and not too shy to show it. Your enthusiasm is contagious!

This is what we have to offer

  • A job for a minimum of 38 hours per week.
  • Explore the world thanks to ample vacation days.
  • A competitive salary that allows you to go on adventures.
  • An allowance for all trips to the Valley.
  • A pension plan, for the future.
  • Room for development. For us and yourself!

What will you be doing?

With your team, you cultivate the tastiest and most beautiful tomatoes and cucumbers. We teach you the tricks of the trade. You learn about the optimal growing conditions, the best growth climate combined with energy management, and the right irrigation and nutrition. Together with the entire team of managers and specialists, you ensure the best results. As a junior cultivation specialist, we train you to become an excellent professional. You will be guided, but sometimes also thrown into the deep end. The cultivation manager is responsible for multiple locations. In addition to technical skills, we also value personal development and teach you aspects of leadership and effective delegation.

Being a cultivation specialist is an energetic and varied job. To achieve the best results, the location is equipped with modern techniques, and it is partly your responsibility to create and maintain the best possible biological balance in the greenhouse. You align all cultivation processes as closely as possible with the plant's needs. We have weekly discussions with the cultivation advisor on the policies to be implemented. You also have weekly meetings with the cultivation specialists of the other greenhouses. We have an excursion together once a week, often digitally, to learn from each other and share our knowledge.

Learning and working go hand in hand with us. Freedom and ambition as well. Together, you achieve more, work more efficiently, and it's even more enjoyable. This way, you develop not only as a professional but also as a person. Apply quickly and see where your growth story begins.
